The life of a creative entrepreneur isn’t always as dreamy as it looks on the outside.
Yes, there’s freedom. Yes, there’s passion. Yes, there’s deep purpose in sharing what I love and building something from scratch. But there’s also the less sexy side — emails, editing, tech glitches, content batching, analytics, bookkeeping, pitching, negotiating, managing multiple platforms... all of it.
Some days I felt like I was bouncing between 12 open tabs — mentally and literally. My thoughts were scattered. I’d start something, get halfway through, then jump to the next thing. I chalked it up to the typical creative brain, and sometimes it was just that. But after a while, the lack of focus became draining.
I already knew magnesium is a foundational mineral — one that supports over 300 enzymatic reactions in the body. As a holistic health coach, I regularly recommend it for things like gut health, constipation, muscle recovery, even PMS.
But recently, I decided to be more intentional about adding it to my routine — not just for digestion, but for nervous system support. I was curious to see how it would help with focus and mental clarity.
And within just a few days?
I noticed it.
Not in a dramatic, light-switch kind of way — but in subtle shifts that added up.
I felt more grounded.
My nervous system didn’t feel so on edge.
The usual ping-ponging between tasks slowed down.
I wasn’t as easily pulled into distractions. I could sit down, open my laptop, and actually follow through on the thing I set out to do. That mental fog I’d gotten used to? It started to lift.
I felt more centered. More present.
It wasn’t magic — just clarity. A sense of calm focus that let me drop into deep work without as much resistance. And honestly, it reminded me that even the small tweaks in our routines can have a big impact when they support the root systems of our health.
I’ve always known magnesium supports the body in profound ways, but this was a reminder that I get to benefit from what I teach too. Especially when I choose the right form.
Because here’s the thing most people don’t realize:
There isn’t just one kind of magnesium.
There are several — each with its own specific use, from sleep support to brain function to digestion.
So how do you know which one to take?
Let’s talk about it.
